ProgramManaging Urban Water Quality: Identifying Sources of Bacterial Load in Antelope Creek.  Dr. Bruce Dvorak and Graduate Student Allison Speicher will be presenting on the "Shortcomings in current fecal indicator bacteria monitoring methods and widespread implementation of total maximum daily load (TMDL) requirements for bacterial pollution have increased interested in microbial source tracking (MST) methods. To assist in addressing the bacterial load in Antelope Creek in Lincoln, we use a genetic microbial source tracking approach, examining the V4 region of the 16s rRNA gene to identify possible bacterial sources within the watershed."
